Getting Around the Island
Transport on the island is provided by taxis, transfer shuttles and a limited bus service. There are a number of rental car companies on the island, or bring your own car. The roads are mostly unsealed and narrow, and do become steep and windy in places. You can refuel at Port Fitzroy wharf, Claris, Tryphena and Whangaparapara wharf.
